Dr Robert Mayer: “Neither the Same nor Different: Buddhist and Bon Tantras in 12th Century Tibet”

Dr Mayer will look at the complex and highly interactive manner in which Buddhism maintained its boundaries with competing religions in 12th century Tibet.

Dr Mayer has held a research job at Oxford since 2002. Before that he was professor at the University of Berlin, and before that lecturer in religious studies at the University of Wales and research fellow at the University of Kent.

All lectures take place at 5.30pm at Balliol College lecture room 23.
