A Meeting With His Holiness The Dalai LamaBuddhist Understanding: Why and HowAn address and discussion in the heart of Oxford's academic community Oxford on 30 May 2008 The Society for the Wider Understanding of the Buddhist Tradition ('So-Wide') looks forward with great pleasure to welcoming its Patron, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, to Oxford next year. His Holiness has kindly agreed to give a public address at the Sheldonian Theatre and to share thoughts with leading scholars and members of the audience. The event will run from 10am until 11.30am on the morning of Friday, 30th May 2008. We are in a time of transition. The global society is seeking a way forward. The Buddhist tradition has a vital contribution to make. This is an opportunity to explore that contribution and how it can best be offered. Event Details
