The Society for the Wider Understanding of the Buddhist Tradition ('So-Wide') welcoms its Patron, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, to Oxford. His Holiness has kindly agreed to give a public address at the Sheldonian Theatre and to share thoughts with leading scholars and members of the audience.

His holiness addressed an audiance of 600 people in the Sheldonian Theatre, including members of the academic community. The talk, "Buddhist Understanding: Why and How" was followed by a session of questions from the audiance and a reception.
