Are you studying for a degree at Oxford University?

Are you either:

(a) working in Buddhist Studies, or

(b) does your work involve some study of Buddhist material? If so, you are invited to sign up and become a Student Member of the OCBS. Please fill in the form below.

As a student member of the OCBS, you will have:

1. access to study areas and a specialised library;

2. rights to use OCBS premises for your activities; and

3. areas of the OCBS website at your disposal.


Buddhism Lunch

After our first successful lunch for all people at the University interested in Buddhist Studies in Michaelmas Term we shall be holding another one in Hilary.  Details to follow.


The OCBS Student Grant - funded by Dr Thet Thet Nwe

Amount

An amount of 500 pounds will be awarded in Week Eight of Hilary Term. The award can be of £500, or the sum may be divided between two applicants, at the discretion of the Selection Committee.

Recipient

The recipient will be a Graduate student at Oxford University whose work includes some aspect of Buddhist Studies.

Purpose

The Donor recognizes the financial difficulties facing students today. While the grant may be used for living expenses, it is hoped that in particular it may assist in the following areas:

Book Grant

Field Work

Travel to conferences etc.

Applications

Applicants are asked to submit their CV, a proposal explaining how a grant will further their studies, and a statement of support from their supervisor.
